Synthetic Rubbers (EPDM, SBR, CR, NBR, FKM)

EPDM rubber

Excellent high and low temperature ranges, -40ºC to +120ºC for standard compounds. EPDM is resistant to exposure to oxygen, UV, ozone and extreme weather environments, and will provide long service under these conditions.

Resistance to many chemicals and solvents. Good behavior against corrosive chemical products. EPDM performance in hot water and high pressure steam is better than in dry heat.

SBR rubber

SBR sheets are moderately resistant to aging and temperature, -25ºC to +70ºC.

Chemical resistance; good resistance to acids, alkalis and salts.

Its contact with oils and hydrocarbons is not advisable.

CR Rubber (Chloroprene / Neoprene)

Good mechanical and abrasion properties.

Good resistance to heat, ozone and weather.

Various flame retardant grades available.

Good adhesion to metal.

Temperature range: -25ºC to + 120ºC

Chemical resistance; inorganic, except oxidizing acids and halogens.

Moderate resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons.

NBR rubber (Nitrile)

Temperature range: -30ºC to + 130ºC, with the possibility of reaching -40ºC.

Good general resistance to oils.

Good mechanical properties, especially tensile strength, flexibility, compression set and gas impermeability.

Moderate aging properties.

Good resistance to inorganic chemicals, except antioxidant agents and chlorine, and has good resistance to general hydrocarbons. Being a polar rubber means that not recommended for use with polar liquids such as ketones, ethers and amines.

Limited resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons.

FKM (Viton)

The is useful in continuous heat up to 250ºC and intermittent heat up to 300ºC.

It exhibits good flame resistance and is generally self-extinguishing when the flame source is removed.

It has excellent resistance to oxygen, ozone and natural weathering.

Among all synthetic rubbers, the FKM is the most resistant to many of the solvents and chemicals, providing long service where other materials cannot.

Excellent resistance against hydrocarbons, aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated chemicals.

Good resistance to acids and alkalis including oxidants. Poor performance against ethers, ketones and bases.

Sponge Rubbers (EPDM, CR)

Good thermal resistance (-40ºC to + 120ºC).

Hardness: 10 to 30 Shore A.

High UV resistance.

Optimum mechanical recovery.

Clasificación Fuego UL94 / EN45545-2.

Resistant to acids and hydrocarbons.

Thickness: from 1.5mm to 50mm.

Natural rubbers

Natural Rubber / Latex / Linatex

Temperature range: -50ºC to + 90ºC.

Excellent mechanical properties.

Available in a wide range of hardnesses from 35º to 80ºShA.

Low compression and high resistance assembly.

Excellent dynamic and rebound properties.

Thickness: 1mm to 25mm

Linatex is supplied in a 1,230mm wide and 9,250mm long format.

Silicones (VMQ)

Compact Silicones

Thermally stable over a wide temperature range (-60°C to +230°C).

Flame retardant (UL94V0) and railway (EN45545) qualities.

Hardness: 30 to 70 Shore A.

Excellent resistance to ozone and UV rays.

Wide color combination available.

FDA approved for food use (regulation 21CFR177.2600).

It complies with CE 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

WRAS approved for drinking water (BS69200 Water Regulations Advisory Scheme).

Our range of films consists of solid films, foam films, fabric reinforced films, and self-adhesive 1 or 2 sided films all available in a range of dimensions and qualities depending on your application.

Thickness: from 0.3mm to 20mm.

Sponge silicones

Great thermal resistance (-50°C to +250°C).

Hardness: 10 to 30 Shore A.

Closed cell.

Good compression for watertight seals.

Low water absorption and dust insulation.

Excellent resistance to ozone and UV rays.

Soft skin.

Respaldo autoadhesivo y acabado de tela de 1 o 2 caras.

FDA approved for food use (regulation 21CFR177.2600).

It complies with CE 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

WRAS approved for drinking water (BS69200 Water Regulations Advisory Scheme).

Thickness: from 1.6mm to 40mm.

Sheets over 15mm thick tend to be supplied in 1mt² or 1000x600mm format.
