Ficha técnica

NBR rubber (Nitrile)

It belongs to the family of synthetic rubbers, it is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, highly resistant to oils and hydrocarbons.

It is used in the automotive and aeronautical industry for fuel and hydrocarbon handling hoses, seals and washers, in the nuclear industry to make protective gloves, it is used to create molded products, adhesives, sealants, sponges, expandable foams and floor mats. flat.
Resistencia media a temperaturas bajas y a la intemperie.

Low resistance against aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, xylene).

Good adhesion to steel.

Very good resistance to oils and aliphatic hydrocarbons (hexane, heptane, methane, ethane, octane, butane, pentane).

Good resistance to acids (except oxidants), fatty acids, vegetable or animal fats.

Its low permeability to air and other hydrocarbon gases such as natural gas, propane and butane is noteworthy.

NBR Rubber Applications

  • Applications that must maintain their mechanical resistance after contact with hydrocarbon fluids
  • Protections and coatings against acids and oils
  • Gasoline and oil sealing gaskets
  • Membrane and baffle type gaskets for gas and acids
