Viton® or FKM O-rings are circular section rings, mainly used to guarantee fluid tightness.
The dimensions of the O-ring (OR) are determined by the inside diameter (d1) and thickness (d2).
Using the adhesives helps bond a Viton® or FKM O-ring to exceed stated specifications. Viton® or FKM O-rings are also manufactured by compression molding, in such a way that the Viton® or FKM O-ring comes out in one piece.
Viton® or FKM O-Rings are typically used in high temperature and/or aggressive chemical services. Of all the synthetic rubbers, Viton® or FKM is the most resistant to both aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Characteristics of our Viton® O-rings
FKM or Viton® O-rings offer excellent resistance to:
- Ozone, weather and UV rays
- Acids, alkalis, oils and fats
- These types of gaskets offer excellent remaining compression set at high temperatures.
- In addition, it does not spread the flame, so it is self-extinguishing
In order for the gaskets to meet all these resistances, at VARGORT we take care of inspecting them individually to check their fit and finish before leaving our workshop.
